You may have arrived here because you've suffered a personal loss in your life recently, or you may be looking for advice from our agony aunts on how to help someone else come to terms with their loss.
Either way, it's likely that for most people, the sense of loss is connected to a death of a loved one. However, the same feelings of bereavement can also be attributed to any loss we suffer in life: financial, loss of status, environment, friendship freedom or when a relationship fails.
In the next few pages, we'll be looking at these in more detail and examining the coping strategies that can be simply but effectively employed to reduce not only the the feelings of anger, numbness and/or sadness that accompany a bereavement, but also the duration of those feelings before it is possible to 'normalise' one's emotions.
Wherever you're at, our agony aunts are here to help.
