Welcome to the health and diet section of Agony Advice. Good health is one of the most important things you can have in life, but we often take it for granted until it's gone.
Diet
Much is made of exercise being a necessity of life, but few people realise that diet is just as essential. Even those with outwardly impressive figures, whether the athletically-toned model or the barrel-chested bodybuilder, can be setting themselves up for long-term health problems and reduced lifespan if they don't watch what they eat and drink as well as how much. It's not easy to see clogged arteries or a damaged liver from the outside until the damage has become severe - by which time it can be too late. But don't worry, we're not 'food-Nazis' wagging our fingers and telling you what you can and can't eat, so relax and enjoy the gentle advice that follows. Hopefully it will persuade you just to make a few healthy changes to your diet, leaving yourself fitter, stronger and more mentally alert.
