Self-Help Books
Unfortunately, there is a lot of dross out there written by people with little or no experience of sociology or psychology but who have published merely as a means of making money or as a form of catharsis for their own woes! You could probably spend a lifetime just reading self-help books, jumping from fad to fad, and allowing each author's style to keep you procrastinating, instead of dealing with whatever drove you to read the books in the first place. Lot's of people do this. What you need is action! That's why we gathered together this little list of our favourite books, on varying issues. We believe that the easiest way to buy them, and a whole load of other good titles (but stay focussed on what you think you need!), is at Amazon.

On Grief and Grieving: Finding the Meaning of Grief Through the Five Stages of Loss - E. Kubler-Ross
In her first seminal book, ON DEATH AND DYING, Elisabeth Kubler-Ross identified the five stages of dying: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance. In the years that followed, it became evident that these stages applied not only to the process of accepting death, but also to accepting other difficult and catastrophic life experiences. With ON GRIEF AND GRIEVING, Kubler-Ross and co-author David Kessler revisit the five stages in order to create a deeply empathetic and accessible guide for those in grief. The authors deliver insights and advice designed to help readers normalise their lives and find the courage to continue. Featuring sections on sadness, dreams, coping, isolation, children, healing, and even sex, ON GRIEF AND GRIEVING fuses practical wisdom with spiritual insight as it forges a path to wholeness.
