Please note that the money and debt advice on this page is intended for the UK (British) market. Almost all of us, to a greater or lesser degree, are worried about being in debt. For some, being in debt can create a lot of anxiety and damage our health and our relationships. It is important that anyone who can't manage their debt, or borrows more money to pay off other debts to create a cycle of increasingly higher payments to creditors, seeks help as soon as possible. If this sounds like you or someone you know, please contact us and we will do our best to help. Please note that we do not represent any financial services company, so you can be sure that we will give you clear and unbiased advice. We will not recommend any individual UK or other companies to you, we will just give you options as to the paths you can take - the precise company, if any, that you go to for help must be your decision alone. This way you can be sure that we are totally unbiased. Of course, we may recommend not for profit registered charities or British government organisations set up to help debtors.
But it's not all doom and gloom, of course. Some of us have the happy 'problem' of not knowing what to do with our money! How can you make it grow? Again, contact us and we'll point you in the right direction, giving you the general options and who to turn to for advice. Please note that we won't give financial advice on specific products due to FSA regulations - for that you'll need an accredited U.K. financial advisor - but we can give our unbiased opinions on what we feel are your best 'next steps'. We can let you know the options; for example, if you are in debt, then we'll let you know what the advantages and disadvantages are of choosing bankruptcy, an IVA or debt consolidation. Again, though, the decision is yours. Please see our terms and conditions of service for more details.
Having said that, all the UK-based companies with links on this page have been vetted by us as being reputable and professional, and we invite you to check out their services, in order to give you an idea of the kind of services available to the consumer. We don't recommend them over any other company, but we can safely say that we feel they represent the best of their respective markets, whether mortgages, debt consolidation or an IVA, and offer an honest service. As a responsible site, we should point out that you should not borrow more than you can afford to repay, and although this page has a couple of links for those with adverse credit, these products should be used to help you rebuild your credit file, not to put you further in debt! Lenders in Britain have a duty to lend responsibly, but you have a responsibility to yourself too, so although we've put these links here to help you, please use them for the right reasons.
